May 3, 2024 – Update
The Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM) is continuing to work in close partnership with the contractor, VSSI, to deliver improved conditions of your neighborhood streets. Please read the latest project updates below that will take place this month.
Work is scheduled to resume on Monday, May 6, 2024, in the Desert Crossings and Hacienda del Oro neighborhoods, on streets that have not yet been treated.
1. Trash Collection – Trash will continue to be collected as regularly scheduled on Tuesdays. Please note, the pick-up time will be between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m., before crews begin treating the roadway.
2. Spot Repair – Areas that have been damaged or were missed will be repaired before further treatment is conducted.
3. Slurry Seal – A slurry seal treatment, which is a thin layer of emulsion, will be applied over the chip seal surface as the final layer of treatment. Residents will receive a notice from the contractor, VSSI, prior to work beginning on your street. Additionally, no parking signs will be placed ahead of the work.
4. Danforth Place and Placita Del Plantio Cul-de-sacs – Crews will perform additional repair work to the Danforth Place and Placita Del Plantio cul-de-sacs followed by a slurry seal treatment.
